I need more space to breathe -Asrul Dwi

Dwi Asrul Fajar a.k.a Asrul Dwi grew up in Gresik, a small town in East Java, studied Indonesian Literature at Airlangga University, Surabaya and live in Jakarta, Indonesia, now.

“I use photography as a space to explore unknown spaces within me, reality and environment around me. I prefer to expose the unseen into my works. The lens allows me to capture it with its magic to bind the scattered fragmentation of the memory within time, then produce palpable even ambiguous pictures. The most important part of my creative process is to explore and experiment photographs as a document and visual layers in the same time.”
