‘Geuzenveld’ translates into English as Garden City. It is a neighbourhood which is located in the West of Amsterdam. New West is one of Amsterdam’s biggest urban projects. It boasts rows of identical apartment blocks. It will be booming one day.
Amsterdam has a ‘housing system’ in which people occupy (old) apartments to prevent people from squatting them. You’re legally squatting a house for a pittance. These are temporary projects.
