Patrick Church is a British artist and designer based in NYC. His personal style of mixing art and fashion and playing with textures and layers makes his work truly unique.
Tell me a bit about yourself.
I am currently living and working in New York, predominately as a painter, but my work crosses over into fashion also.
What is the main inspiration behind your brand? How would you describe your personal style?
My personal style is pretty instinctive, it depends on my mood on that day, but I enjoy wearing color, being flamboyant, sometimes I like to wear a tracksuit… it really depends. My work is always from a personal point of view, I could never find anything I wanted to wear so I decided to make things and it kind of went from there….
Any dream collabs?
I love the idea of a collaboration, as an artist, this is one of the things that excites me the most, so it’s impossible to choose my dream collaboration, I feel as though I am collaborating with people constantly.
Do you believe in feminine and masculine aspects of fashion or do you think that fashion is non-binary ?
For me, I don’t like the idea of labels and anyone should be able to wear anything they want.
Which is the piece that you’ve made that you are the most proud of?
I just painted a grand piano for my husband, he has always wanted one so it’s super special and that makes me proud.
